Surfing USA.....

Spent a lot of time the last two days sitting in front of a computer screen but i HAVE read and encountered a lot of cool things going on globally.  The more you read, the more you understand that it is just impossible to stay up to date and current on everything. Whew! Here are two of my favorites from today, both coincidentally from Grist:

The first is a great article, written by a friend, about another friend who just graduated from Yale and is now motoring around New England gathering interviews with "regular folk" about climate change. It's in conjunction with Yale's really great Project on Climate Change Communication ,

The second one is really short - a picture really, but so sweet. Definitely made me think of dad and his penchant for planting trees.

Also: check out the sunset from last night. Amazing.  Too bad this is shot from the library atrium and not the beach, but SOM summer work will not wait.....
