No risk of standing water here.  One week down and I've jumped full on into new apartment, city, and job.  I've made it a goal to see the ocean every day, and most days I've been accomplishing this with my morning run, which I also use as an excuse to check out new parts of the neighborhood.

Day 1 I spent wandering around, stopping for lunch at - where else - Chipotle.  Enjoyed it with a beach view - check out that glorious pile of guacamole.

A couple other highlights from the week:

Went to UCLA on Tuesday to meet Dr. Jackson, the public health doc who is featured in the Designing Healthy Communities project.

Also was introduced to the MPC shop and mailroom. In fine internship work tradition, here is some of my handiwork:

Also started my introduction to "the industry" with my first lesson on proper camera techniques.  Diving right in!
