The first.

For some time now it's been on my life list, that abstract, "someday" list, to start a blog.  I figured I would do something huge, and have no choice but to write about it and proclaim it to the world. I figured my life as it stands isn't interesting enough. Well, I'm over it.  Read if you want, or don't want. But I'm starting a blog!

It's been almost exactly a year since I got out of the Army.  Every day since then, my world has been expanding and exploding with new ideas, initiatives, people, places, plans.  I've finished a year at the forestry grad school and am about to switch tracks and start at business school.  In the midst, I find myself pretty unexpectedly in Santa Monica, California for the summer, doing something slightly related but mostly different to both schools of study. I figured this 63-day block of time was as good a time as any to carve out for a blog endeavor. And maybe I would even have some readers, if loved ones are curious enough to check out my pictures!
